|
What: |
Sperm Warfare takes a hard look at
how the biological clock impacts male-female relationships
in sometimes role-reversing ways. As a 39-year-old determined
wife rubs her frustrated husband the wrong way and a sensuous
young nurse makes matters worse, husband and wife are forced
to define themselves anew.
Directed by Norman Siopis
Pomp and Circumstance is about the personal trial
of a talented yet suppressed young attorney coming to terms
with his father, a famous and reluctantly retiring criminal
defense lawyer, as they handle their first, and last, court
trials. It explores the boundaries between sex and love,
religious law and civil law, acting and reality, and parents
and their children.
Directed by David Rouda
Running time: 2 hours fifteen minutes plus intermission.

|
What: |
Miss-Matches.com, Leslie Beam’s new
solo show -- is an unvarnished account of one woman’s descent
into sexual purgatory. A purgatory she shared with: a man she
needed to temporarily marry each time they had sex, a convict
both ex and future, and a rabbit which was neither furry nor
cuddly. Plus, there was the evening she served dinner to a
group of strangers dressed in diamond earrings, arm bracelets
and… well, just earrings and bracelets. Mostly though, it’s the
story of a strong modern woman taking control of her sexuality -
and completely screwing it up.

Guardian.
